Canary archipelago islands are well-known as seven islands. This number is both true and false. Actually, Canary archipelago consists of 13 islands, but 5 of them are practically unsettled. Canaries are the part of Spanish lands and the member of European Union.The islands are situated close to the western African coast, to the south from Morocco. El Hierro is the smallest of seven islands, it has 270 sq. km area, its population is about 10 000 people.
At classical times, when the Earth thought to be a disc, this very island was the edge of the world, and Ptholemeus discovered that zero meridian ran over here. Nowadays El Hierro is a biosphere reserve of the Earth and a sea reserve of Canary islands. There are only 5 islands left, that are watched by UNESCO as biosphere reserve, and El Hierro is among them.

Canarians are very friendly and joyful people, Spanish pride will never let them be curious or intrusive too much. El Hierro inhabitants appreciate your peace and desire to enjoy the wild nature of the island. At the same time, the service is as high as European one.

El Hierro is a perfect place for a calm family vacation. We offer you a good accommodation in comfortable hotels and separated bungalows, but the main thing here is fishing, of course. 
You can catch different kinds of tuna (yellow tuna, bonito, etc.), dorado, blue marlin in warm turquoise Atlantic ocean. Shark and swordfish can bite during night fishing as well. 
El Hierro is also called “fish supermarket” among Canaries’ inhabitants.

A modern comfortable boat «Nina del Mar» is used for sea-fishing. It is well-equipped both for fishing and for luxurious resort and we are glad to offer you sea-fishing and cruises around the island. There is a rubber boat on board so that you could easily land on any, even the unreachable, island!

«Nina del Mar» boat is 11 m long and 4,1 m width, it has two engines 260 h.p. each, maximum speed is about 30 knots. There is also saloon with air-conditioner, TV and CD-station, 2 bedrooms, sanitary room and shower.
The aft of the boat is equipped with professional trolling tackle and special place for fish playing. There is a spot for rest and sunbathing on the bow.

Who can be caught?

Coastal waters of the Canary archipelago count about 600 species of fish.
Here we rehearse just a small list of fish that can bite during the year if fishing around the islands.

• Atlantic blue marlin – up to 200 kg
• Striped mackerel – up to 40 kg
• White tuna – up to 50 kg
• Barracuda – up to 30 kg
• Tuna bonito – up to 20 kg.
